Will Office Connector get retired when the Atlassian Companion get's mor popular or
will it stay and be maintained as rederer for Office Documents?
@[deleted]
That will be a good question for Atlassian people. Let me ask and then get back to you.
Best,
@[deleted]it is going away. Just asked other champions.
As I recall the Office connector uses WebDAV and/or an addon to make editing available for certain browsers.
Of the current browser versions only IE supports the Office connector officially. Firefox doesn't work at all (Old plugin) & Chrome works but is not supported insight Confluence (Edit in Office is missing in file preview).
So you can make up your mind about future support...
Harald,
The app will be bundled with confluence.
