Custom field for multi-value entry from a preset list

Hi everyone

Is there a solution for a custom field that has preset values (set by an admin) and are multi-selectable.

Anything BUT the out of the box ugly multi-select field from JIRA. 

Command-Click is just not a good way to select for me in a long list. 

Field of type label will not work as everyone in project can add values to the list. That creates a mess. 

 

I really need this please. Any ideas?

I think we are out of options here unless we have a plugin that gets us this. Eager to know if there are any out there.

However this is impossible from basic Jira s/w as multiselect field has only select list renderer and not autocomplete renderer.

There is an option where components can be made to render as select list but no options for multiselect field.
