Can I update assignee based on the time

Question

We would like to change or assignee the issues to a particular user after working hour's. I have tried using rooster addon but its not working as expected. not sure why? is there a workaround using AUTOMATION FOR JIRA

You should be able to do with Jira Automation addon. This thread provides an example.

The assignee should be changes based upon the time of day issue is created and also weekend to be considered.

@Nikhil , are you saying you wish to change the assignee based upon time of day? Example - If issue remains open after 5pm it is reassigned to a different person? Or do you mean something else, e.g. set the Assignee based upon the time of day an issue is created. Can you detail your use case?
