Set project lead for user picker custom field - how to?

how can we automatically set a user picker custom field y the project lead in a transition?

We use Jira v7.5

Hello,

You would need an add-on for it.

For example, you could use the Power Scripts add-on:

You could add a post function with a script like this:

#{user field name} = projectPM(project);
