Status is closed but can't get Resolution to show a status.

Question

Super Newbie question: a task in our custom workflow has a status of CLOSED which is the default Resolution, however Resolution is "Unresolved".

Need help to try and get this to work correctly. I've read posts but it's still not populating for me.

Help me please?

Please do not mix up status and resolution.

Status is an indicator of where an issue is in the workflow.  Resolution is a flag that when <empty> means the issue needs attention, and when it's filled, the issue needs no more work (and the value should be indicative of why no more is needed)

You should set and clear resolution as you move in and out of status you consider "done"

If you didnt have screens with resolution on this transition and want to set default resolution during the transition, you need to add "Update Issue Field" postfunction, that will be set Resolution.
