Get access to a specified page in a hierarchy - how to?

Hi,

we have high hierarchies of page trees in our Confluence and now some external users need to have access to specified contents. These contents are in pages deep in the page hierarchy. The problem is that these users must not have access to other pages and we can't move these pages upper in the hierarchy hence there is a logical order in the page hierarchy.

Is there any other option how to get access only to these pages without changing the page hierarchy?

I don't think there's any way to accomplish what you want, because it goes against the way page restrictions/permissions work in Confluence – viewing restrictions and permissions essentially cascade down the hierarchy – if a user doesn't have permission to view a space, they can't see any pages, if a page has restrictions and a user doesn't have permission to view a page, they can't view any descendents of that page.

Note that these things apply to includes as well, so that if a user cannot view a page, they cannot view it when it is included on another page, so you can't use includes to get around view restrictions. 

The only way I've found to do what you want is to have a separate script, running outside the wiki, that has permissions to view the pages, and use that script to copy the content to a place where the users can see the contents.

The normal way to deal with this situation is to separate your space into two page families, and apply page restrictions only to the part where you need the restrictions, but that violates the terms of your question, since it means rearranging the hierarchy.
