how to remove SSH key from bitbucket?

Question

I had previously added SSH Key on my bitbucket account. I want to remove this and add a  new one, as my config file got erased.

My 2-step verification is failing to access the account, so I am unable to access bitbucket settings.

I tried accessing recovery codes, but connection to  port 22 is refused being enabled SSH over port 443.

Is there a way around ?

Hi there, nope, there is no description of the error or a hint to resolve. All I could see is server error message.

I had to create an email alias to start as fresh user.

If two-step auth is a requirement to delete an access key for a repo,

shouldnt it say so in the error message, instead of saying its a server error???

Hi Rose!

If my understanding is correct, you don't have valid codes to access your Bitbucket account using two-step authentication.

In that case, you'll need to use one of the recovery codes we sent you when you first signed up for two-step verification, or if you don't have them you can get them by running the following command in the pc where you have stored the SSH key for your account:

ssh git@bitbucket.org recovery_codes
