Looking for a custom field type which would list users AND roles

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to add a custom field to my issue which has users and roles... It does not (and should not) need to be a multiselect field...

Any suggestions?

Basically I want to be able to assign issues to groups of users (as opposed to the "single-user-assignment"). For this, I would need such a field.

What does "has users and roles" mean?  You want do display something about users and roles?  Single select list with all your users and roles as options?  Select role for this project and see all the users in it?
