Anyone having trouble with PDF attachments in Jira?

I'm running Jira 7.12.0. Users are reporting that they are unable to open PDF attachments from issues when using Internet Explorer. Other attachments such as Excel, Word, etc. will open in Internet Explorer with no problem. Users are able to open PDF attachments when using Chrome. The issue wasn't reported until after upgrading from 7.11.0 to 7.12.0. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Atlassian has two open items for this: JRASERVER-67929 and CLOUD-9695.

You can vote for them to potentially help increase their priority.

Note...The Cloud version has a workaround that may be useful in a server environment, I've not tested it.

Thanks for the reply and the link! Our symptoms are exactly the same as in this issue. It makes sense because we just upgraded to 7.12.0 from 7.11.0 and that's when this IE/PDF problem started. So it appears that 7.12.1 doesn't contain a fix for this either. Am I correct in stating that the only currently known workaround is to use a different browser?

Yes, unfortunately that is the workaround. I usually recommend using Chrome anyway, it seems to play nicer.
