How to filter assignee using a substring?

Question

I have a need to get list of issues assigned to folks with a particular string in their name. ex: if the assignee name has an "X" at the end of the name, how do I query such issues?

i need to do something like " assignee contains ("X")" but dont think JIRA filter has that option.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi @johnnav

It is not a JQL function in jira you will need to do your search with an addon if it can.
