Restricted page question

Hi All,

one of my user has a space with a vertically high page hierarchy. In this space he has a child page to which he wants assign some users but no else pages. So he wants that the particular users cannot see the parent pages (this page has 3 level parents).

I am convinced that in this case it cannot be done that users could only see this child page in the space and nothing else because the page permissions inherit, so if the user has no permission to the parent page than he won't ever see the child page.

Am I right? Because he said that he heard about a different solution.

What can be done? Move the page right under the Home page?

As I'm sure you already know, Confluence restrictions are hierarchical -- you start at the home page which is most open and then restrict as you descend into child pages.

If the user can't see the parent page, they won't be able to see the child. Put the page under the home and then add any restrictions on the page.
