Bitbucket cloud to Bitbucket local/server migration query

Swaminathan N

While migrating from other repos to BB cloud, I can see an import repository option-where I give my old repos URL and import it into BB cloud. Is there any provision for doing the same into BB local/server? Also please suggest me the best practices to do the same if any exists.

Hello,

It looks like you asked a similar question a few days ago.

Since Bitbucket Server 4.9 we allow you to import repositories from the interface.

You can read more about importing into Bitbucket Server. See Importing code from existing project

Hello Mark. Thank you for the clarity. I had a bit of confusion in this approach and I'm clear now.

Hello Mark,

I tried out the steps and I'm getting an error like "permission not available" to carry out this process. Please tell me what is to be done in BB cloud for granting permission in order to carry out this step.

Here, I'm migrating my Bitbucket Cloud repositories to Bitbucket Server. However, after migration I get the following error when trying to make a clone: "fatal: protocol error: bad line length character: <htm fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly error 128" I run the following command: git clone https: //hostname/scm/ar/reponame.git
