Could FuncTest framework be used to write integration/ui tests on remote jira instance

Good Day everyone.

Once we decided that selenium webdriver not the best choice to write ui tests for JIRA because of uncontrollable change of locators/ During the search of another instruments i've found some atlassian frameworks which can be used for nearby  objective. But every stack of documentation which I found was only about local usage of those frameworks.

So the question:

Could FuncTest framework be used to write integration/ui tests on remote jira instance.

Or maybe I can find another instrument for that.

There is a file called localtest.properties, which contains data on what instance to execute tests. Change this data to your remote instance:

jira.protocol = http
jira.host = remoteinstance
jira.port = 2990
jira.context = /jira
jira.edition = all

jira.xml.data.location = src/test/xml
