Attempting a Jira upgrade test from 7.7.1 to 7.12.1 on a virtual test environment. My first step was install 7.7.1: * Run as admin. * Enter password for prompt "Do you want to allow with app to make changes to your device?" * Installation Wizard "preparing the Installation Wizard" window pops up and loads to 100% then disappears and nothing happens. Am I missing something? Not sure what is going wrong.

Hi Jeren, Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the installer, my first thought is it might have something to do with OS level permissions but I have a few questions about this: * Which installer are you running? * Did you stop the existing Jira service before running it? * Is anything logged to the atlassian-jira.log or system event logs when you run it? * When you're running as admin, is this as an admin on the OS? Hi Keri, thanks for getting back to me. I too am starting to think it is a permissions issue since, after moving on to attempting a Confluence upgrade test, I experienced an identical outcome, and a permissions error when trying to install a JDK. I'll update you further once we look into this more on our end, hopefully it will be resolved.

Hey Keri, we got back onto this project last week and figured out that it was an OS permissions issue. and everything is working properly now. Thanks for the assistance.
