Conf - 42855 Expand Macro only expands for a half second before disappearing

I have same issue as Conf - 42855 which was resolved in June and wanted to know how to fix this issue.

Have you raised it with Atlassian support? (as they seem to have fixed it but not said how)

I have not opened a bug yet. I wanted to check if this was client side fix
