Closed projects do not have a Resolved date. How can this be populated when it was closed

We have quite a few projects that are closed but have no Resolved date.

How can this be populated with the last update date or when it was closed?

 

The only way we can really put a resolved date is to re-open and close it again. But this populates it with the incorrect Resolved date(being present time). We need the retro date.

You have multiple options here and you need to decide:

• If you need the "Date Closed" populated when a user transition the ticket to a "Close" status, you can either put a post-function for auto populating it (good) or put the "Date Closed" field in the transition screen and have it pre-populated (bad). You may also add it in the "Edit" screen if you wish to update it anytime.
• Alternatively, just update the Resolution field (just like what JIRA what you want to do) in the Close transition. Just like the first option above, put the "Resolution" field in the "Close" transition screen or add it in the "Edit Screen" as well.
