I can not import the backup version from the cloud Jira-Software: An error occurred while parsing

Good afternoon!

Our organization is going to purchase Jira-Software for use on its server.
There was a problem with moving the project from the cloud Jira-Software to installed on our server.

I make a backup copy of the cloud project from the Backup manager. Then I transfer the created archive jira-export.zip
on the server with Jira-Software installed in / var / atlassian / application-data / jira / import /

An error occurs when you try to import a project:

An error occurred while parsing the XML backup file /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/import/jira-export.zip: There is no "key" field for release 10255.

What am I doing wrong? How can I move the Project from the cloud to the local server?

Hi Sergey,

Project imports are only possible between identical Jira versions.

Since Cloud is running a different Jira version, compared to you local server, the export from Cloud will not be compatible for a project import into your local server.
To make the data from Cloud compatible with your local version, you must first import the full Cloud export into another (local) temp instance, running the same version as your local server.
Then generate an export the temp instance, which can be used for the project import.

Important:
The possibility to import an Jira Cloud export into Jira Server, depends on the when the Cloud export was generated and the version running on your local server.
