JIRA install

Hi there,

We're trying to install JIRA on a server that already has a Java application on it which is using the JAVA_HOME variable, and they appear to have different JREs.  Both of these processes are intended to run as services, how would you recommend we go about installing JIRA?

Hi @Kale Ganann, 

 

you can probably use the same JRE for both, as long as it's at least version 1.8

 

If you really want to use different JREs, you can just set your "JAVA_HOME" in bin/setenv.sh
