Custom field mandatory after remaining estimate value change

Hi there,

 

I really hope someone can help me. Trying to get JIRA to require the user to select a "Reason" from a custom drop down list after they change the Remaining Estimate value on an Issue. We are trying to capture when estimates change because of requirement changes or there is simply more work than what was thought.

 

Any assistance really appreciated.

Hi,

You can do this only by using add-on like Script Runner and writing groovy script else you can also try this using Java Script that will not allow the user to create the ticket until Reason is filled (little dirty but works).
