How to best Bootstrap BitBucket?

So We are going to run our BitBucket Server in a docker container and we want to bake as much configuration as possible into the image. 

 

So I was wondering what the best way to do this is?

I know there is the bitbucket.properties file where we can set many properties for configuration. 

But is this the only way to configure the image? If not what is the recommended way to do this?

Hi there,

Since the Bitbucket Server reads its properties from the bitbucket.properties file it is recommended to add the configuration to the file. Adding the environment variable to the image for the Bitbucket Server properties might not be effective apart from the environment mentioned in the docker-atlassian-bitbucket-server
