Can transitions of Story automatically trigger the necessary transitions for Feature?

Question

For ex. if I have 3 Stories linked to a Feature and one of them is moved from "To Do" to "In Progress" state , I'm expecting that that the Feature should also now change to "In Progress" from "To Do" automatically. Similarly, when all the 3 Stories linked to the Feature are done, the Feature too should transition to Done.

Any help is greatly Appreciated

Thanks,

Mani

* Go to "To Do" to "In Progress" transition in Story Workflow
* Click to post-functions tab
* Add post-function* There is a "Linked Transition (JSU)"
* Also "Transition linked issues (JMWE add-on)"

* Than configure link type, run as user etc parameters and choose the related transition in New Feature Workflow.

Hi @Tansu Akdeniz,

Thanks for you're reply!

we have JSU and Jira workflow tool box Add-ons. Please, can you tell me how to achieve it through those add-ons. I tried searched but i couldn't find a solution.

Hi @Mani,

Sure you can do it with some add-on alternatives. Please take a look at;

* Jira Suite Utilities
* JMWE
* Automation for JIRA
* Script Runner: You can write your own script. Especially if you have more specific rules, flexible.
