Confluence Polls: anyone have this plugin working?

Thomas Ehardt

We have a few users who would like to play around with it but it doesn't seem to work. Here's what I'm doing:

1. create a new page
2. insert 'Poll' Macro

I then get this message in the "Insert 'Poll' Macro" popup:

Error rendering macro 'poll-macro' : java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "hidden field value"

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have this plugin working?

We're on Confluence 5.1.2, and the plugin is v1.3 (both latest)

You can kinda work around it if you want to use the macro anyway:

1. Edit the page and chose the macro.
2. Get the format exception.
3. Click "insert" anyway.
4. You should now be back at the normal editing page and the cursor should be inside the macro. Here you can type in the desired poll title.
5. Save the page. You can now add Votepotions on the normal page (=not in edit mode).
