Bitbucket Server OSX Server & MySQL

Hi all,

We recently bought a starter license for Bitbucket Server/ Self-Hosted. During the installation process on our OSX Server (High Sierra) we were asked to run Bitbucket with an external database (recommended for "productive mode").

As we would like to use a MySQL database the following error message appears:

"Der erforderliche Treiber ist nicht installiert. Sehen Sie unsere Dokumentation ein für weitere Informationen."

By looking into the documentation we cannot find a solution. What drivers need to be installed and how can we make sure to use Bitbucket on OSX Server with an external MySQL database?

Hi Alex,

The JDBC Mysql drivers are not included in Bitbucket installation by default. You will need to manually download them and put them Bitbucket lib folder. You can download them from below link;

For production env, it is recommended to not to use OSX operating system. See this link for supported platform details for Bitbucket.
