How to create sub-task in JIRA using REST API along with parent issue.

Question

I am able to create parent and sub-task with below format json using VBA.

But, my requirement is to create parent and sub-task together.

So, I will not be able to provide the id/key for the parent, since it will be exist at the time of creation.

Need to find a way to refer the parent which is not created yet.

I tried to use various other formats; but no found solution yet.

Anyone can help?

If you want to make a rest call, you would need to develop your own solution. You either make two Rest Calls and use out of the box Rest Api, or you develop your custom Rest Endpoint.

Yes. That is the only workaround available.

Looking for some better way. (Don't want to make 2 calls)

Hello,

You need to do two rest calls:

1. You create the parent issue

2. You create a child issue.
