I have to create a private repository on Bitbucket, now i have the requirement to add MIT licence in it.
Not sure which version are you using (Cloud/Server) .. for server you can update license like it is described in this documentation - https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/updating-your-bitbucket-server-license-details-785318611.html
Hi Muhammad! Bitbucket doesn't have a specific feature to include a license, you'll need to add it manually to the repository. Once you create your repository in Bitbucket, you get the option to create a readme, you can add the licence there. Alternatively, you can create a text file, copy the license details there and treat it as any other file in your repo (add, commit and push).
There's also a Feature request to add a License menu in the project settings, you can vote for it at Site/master/issues/3937.
Hope that helps, let us know if you have any questions!

Hi @Mirek, Muhammad was referring to code licenses (like these https://choosealicense.com/licenses/), not to our product licenses.
Have a good day
Thanks
