Display info of a task while listing sub-tasks

Question

Hello,

I have a dashboard that list sub-tasks (that is what needs to be deployed). But I would like to see in this dashboard a property that is linked to the tasks that is, the group to which the task belong.

In normal SQL I would do a join to link add task info to sub-task and then display it would be easy but I think there is no way of making joins in Jira.

Any idea?

There are apps available from marketplace which support such customization that when a sub-task is created then it inherits certain field from the parent. Please see the discussion here on this

The Jira dashboards displays issue fields inside gadgets, thus my suggestion to you is that when a sub-task is created then it should inherited this property from the parent task. Once the value is inherited then it's present in a field and thus it can be displayed easily right next to the sub-task.
