Where are the "board settings" in Jira Core?

I'd like to add swimlanes to group issues by component, but I can't see anywhere to access the board settings.

Also, can I add multiple board to a project?

Any guidance is most appreciated.

Hello,

I guess you are using Business boards. They are very limited in features. You can not add swimlanes or add several boards for a project. You should use Jira Software boards in this case.
