Notify Slack when 'Incident' Type is Created in Jira

Hello,

We use Jira Cloud and I'm looking for a way to notify a particular Slack channel when an issue type "Incident" is created in any of our projects.  Is there a way using the Jira connector to look at all of our projects instead of just a particular one?

Hi Ryan

We can use the webhook feature in JIRA to achieve that, kindly refer our Managing webhooks and Slack Incoming Webhooks documentation.

Basically, we should create a Webhook in JIRA pointing to Slack endpoint with the following configuration:

Event: Issue Created
Event JQL filter: issuetype = incident

This should notify Slack for all issues created under issue type "Incident" in all JIRA projects.
