Problems upgrading from 5.9 to 6.9

Hi,

We have installed copy of current version (v5.9) to new Windows Server 2016 with copy of database. Confluence is working on new server, but when I try to upgrade existing installation, installation program does not recognize existing installation, I get error:

"The directory you have selected is not a valid confluence installation directory"

What could cause this?

Thanks, I was pointint d:\program files\Confluence. This worked d:\program files\Confluence\web-app.

Hi Harri,

When you run the installer, did you point to the correct confluence installation directory path and not the confluence home directory path? The installation directory should contain folders such as conf/, logs, confluence, confluence/WEB-INF...
