Jira and Confluence integration

Hi Community,

 

I have a Problem linking Confluence with JIRA Core. I've installed both applications and everything is working fine. I've put both applications behinde a reverse SSL Proxy as described in the Installation Manual and this is working fine as well.

 

Now I have the following Scenario:

http://servername.mydomain.local:8090 for Confluence

http://servername.mydomain.local:8080 for Jira

I've created cNames and using Rewrites (like in the Manual) to reverseproxy These applications behind

https://jira.mydomain.local

https://confluence.mydomain.local

 

Now when I try to do an application Link and Point Jira.mydomain.local to https://confluence.mydomain.local this is not working, because there seems to be no Response (and vice versa).

When I try to do an application Link and Point to servername.mydomain.local:8080 it is working but - of Course - the base URL is wrong and it won't accept the link.

 

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Hi!

It looks like the application can't resolve names. Try to use nslookup to verify that you can resolve names correctly. And if you don't try to add corresponding records directly to your hosts file.

Also, have a look at the applications' logs. There may be additional useful information.
