I want to run some automation scripts and integrate the results with JIRA. Any particular add on available ?

Another one to take a look at is ScriptRunner - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/6820/scriptrunner-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview We use its escalation service to perform some daily cleanup.
