Goal: add logo in E-mail notifications
Environment: Jira Server
Ticket: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-4365
Hi there,
I have simple yet seemingly complex questions.
Where do I place my image on the server?.
How do I refer to it?.
Currently I have placed it in:
atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/includes
<img src="../includes/logo.png"> or just <img src="logo.png"> etc..
No matter what I try and how I reffer it, cant seem to include the image, but I feel I am doing it wrong. Not sure which folder is considered the root when the E-mail template page processes the HTML and CSS.
The workaround:
<img src="https://www.SomewhereOnTheInternet/logo.png">
However, this workarround causes extreme delays (or mail never arrives) when sending E-mail notifications and client must accept / allow the logo to be displayed (screenshot example included).
Normaly this can be fixed by embedding the logo / send it with the mail, this can be done by reffering to the image in the code directly of the server.
Unfortunately nobody has tried this approach and feel this needs to be tested, in general I feel like this should be a functionality and have a hard time why this simple business logic is not standardized in Jira.
