Report on Language types used by Bitbucket projects

Hi Team,

 

We would like to get report on Bitbucket for the below queries.

1. How many projects in BitBucket have commited .net code.

2. How many projects in Bitbucket have commited Java code.

 

IS there a solution to get this data from Bitbucket using API or from the DB. We need this ASAP possible. so please help

Hey Aswini

At this moment, Bitbucket doesn't have a native feature in which you would be able to get that level of report that you're asking for, I'm afraid -- the code language type used in a repo/project is not stored in any tables in the database. We do have a feature request, so we can track the ability to label projects and repositories with the information that's pertinent to your company. Please refer to the improvement request below.

• Labeling of repositories

This improvement also, mentions a 3rd party plugin called Categories for Bitbucket which provides you with a similar ability, however you'll have to create all the categorization from scratch.

At this moment the only way to check that information is through the search, where you would be able to see a list of the repositories that are controlling a given language and from that list check the projects in the UI.
