Customize the report plugin properties page

Question

I'm creating a report, and I want to have 2 sets of properties - one for the JQL filter selection mode, and one for the "build-query-by-inputs" mode. Interacting with one should disable the other, as the inputs would be incompatible. I can't find much info on how to do that with the way JIRA handles the report properties page. The inputs definitions are placed in the xml, and there doesn't appear to be a way to add much UI logic to that. Any ideas?

It doesn't appear to be possible with just the report properties xml. Would likely have to hook it into a separate webwork/servlet UI or create another report xml for the variation.
