How to add support contract details on JSD project?

Hi,

I need to add support contract details on JSD project wich are:

- Start date

- End date

- Effort

- Customer

- Status

Please note that a JSD project may be associeted to many support contracts.

Something like Version may satisfy our needs.

@[deleted], there are two components to an answer here. The first deals with how to add these new fields and is easy to answer the second depends on what you mean by "support contract details", i.e. what are your ultimate requirements.

Assuming you are a system admin you can add new custom fields: 

• Start Date - date picker field
• End Date - date picker field
• Effort - could be a text field or a drop down selector depending on your needs desires
• Customer - could be a text field or a drop down selector depending on your needs desires
• Status - could be a text field or a drop down selector depending on your needs desires

You can then make these field required if desired at various transitions. There is a lot of documentation on the Atlassian support site for how to add custom fields.

Beyond simply adding these fields I can't really provide further recommendations of best practices, etc. But if you have further questions please let the Community know here.
