Trello Hubspot Integration using zapier

Question

Using zapier I am able to automatically create a contact in hubspot when a card with custom fields is created in trello. Like here https://d.pr/i/qinD5N . The issue is that if I wanted to assign the hubspot owner directly from trello, it does not accept the email id. It accepts only the id of the hubspot user which is a 6 digit code. Is there any solution to this from trello.

The same solution we require for assigning deal to a contact, hubspot owner to a deal.

Having a similar need except data is coming from multiple different sources.

In the end however, we have the email address of the Jira user that needs to be assigned and can use "search for user" step to find them; but the Jira integration in Zapier is simply lacking option to assign someone. I tried both "create new issue", "update issue" (which can sadly only update status, so name is a misnomer) and "create request" for ServiceDesk.

I want to make sure I’m understanding you correctly - I haven’t used Hubspot before, so please bear with me!

The process is:

* A card is created in Trello.
* That card’s data (mostly from Custom Fields) is pulled into Hubspot to either create a new contact or update an existing contact via Zapier.

And what you’re trying to do is assign someone from Hubspot, who is also a member on Trello of that specific board, to that contact’s Trello card, correct? Are you wanting Trello to see who is the owner of that contact in Hubspot, and then assign that person to the contact’s card in Trello?

The person you want to assign to the card in Trello - is their Hubspot user ID somewhere in the Trello card?

Since I’m unfamiliar with Hubspot, I’m just trying to understand what that data looks like, and how it’s showing in Trello. My instinct is that there’s a solution using ButlerBot. Screenshots (with sensitive data blurred) would really help as well.

Any extra info you can provide would be great - we can really dig in and get this solved for you :)
