Adding assignees, watchers, and other user fields from the quick view

Is anyone else having problems assigning users, watchers, or updating other users from the quick view? I'm either getting an error when I search for and add a user, or I'm not able to edit the field at all. 

This is super annoying when i'm trying to quickly update tickets from the kanban board.

And also, a not-so-quick workaround (too bad it takes 3 steps to do this)

1. click the ... on your quick view form (kanban board) and select 'More Actions'

 

2. start typing what you are looking for (example 'Watchers')
