Update notifications within Jira

I was able to receive email notifications advising me of comments within Atlassian, however I have lost this function. Can you help please.

Can you please give more information of your case. Lost since when? How do you noticed that you lost this function? Are you using Jira Service Desk (JSD)? or Jira Software? If you are using JSD are you a client/customer? or an agent?
