Jira and Confluence oauth errors

after completing a sprint in Jira,i want to do retrospetcive.When go to add a jira macro on confluence a page,i get a connection error which say Confluence has not been configured to talk with Jira. However they can share users account. But the application links will not allow OAUTH connection between they two applications...
