Create multi level drop down menus

mahanhz

I know how to create a web-item under an existing drop down menu, but is it possible to create a web-item under a web-item.

Take for example the Dashboards drop down on the top navigation bar in Jira. I would like something like this:

Dashboards
- My web-item1
  - My sub web-item1.1
  - My sub web-item1.2
- My web-item2
  - My sub web-item2.1
  - My sub web-item2.2

By the way Mahan,

Have you seen this post?

Developing Jira Plugin with Sub Web Items

It might help you in your case. Are you developing an add-on for Jira?

I have seen the post, but it describes the usual scenario of child items under the top navigation bar, whereas I am looking to have child items under child items.

So instead of a 2 level menu I want to create a 3 level drop down menu.

Mahan,

Thank you for confirming. I'm not really familiar with this personally as I don't delve into Jira development. Are you making an add-on or were you modifying your Jira instance directly?

Shannon

I’m making a plug-in for Jira server.

Shannon S

Mahan,

Thank you for confirming that. Have you had any luck on our Developer Community? They may be able to tell you how to make a 3rd level dropdown.
