I have a repo that has never been able to synchronize. It's been stuck for 4 months with the message
Sync Paused: GitHub rate limit was exceeded. Syncing will automatically resume later.
The repo has just over 5,000 commits. What I've done so far:
- Removed all other repos that have a substantial number of commits from the DVCS configuration page, so that they don't count against our API limit.
- Contacted Github support, and they promised to temporarily raise our API limit from 5,000 to 15,000 for three days.
- After the API limit was increased, I clicked the refresh button next to the repo name on the DVCS config page. The error message did not go away.
- After the API limit was increased, I tried removing the repo from the list on the DVCS config page, and then re-adding it. The error message did not go away.
That was three days ago that Github raised our API limit but the repo is still showing the same error. I really don't know what else to try. This is an important project for us and it would be really helpful to finally get smart commits working.
