Does JIRA Portfolio work with all versions of JIRA Server?

Can the teams that will be rolled up in JIRA Portfolio have different versions of JIRA Server?

Portfolio for Jira is an app that you install on your Jira Server, it is not a stand-alone application, and the current version supports Jira Server 6.3 - 7.8.1, see the Marketplace listing.
