Overriding the macros

Question

Is there a way to override a macro?

For instance, I want to set the width and height of the panel.  Documentation has no parameters for it, but can I override macros and make it ?  Or do I have to create my own from scratch ?

Hi,

you can try two things:

* Check the HTML of your page displaying the macro and get a grip of the CSS classes used & try to implement some custom CSS for these macros.
* Install the free addon Confluence Source Editor
* Insert the macro you want to modify in a page
* Open the Source editor & check the storage format of the macro
* Write a own user macro wrapping the original macro & modify or enhance what you want

I did this eg. with the Show Tasks macro to display only the current users tasks as the current user could not be selected from the user list.
