Custom fields on all GUIs possible (Epic, Story... ) ?

Hi all,

sorry for a real basic question, but I searched all the online material without finding the answer.

I need a custom field (for an external reference)  on a GUI of the level you can call "Epic", "Story" or "Stakeholder Request". Is that possible? I

On the "issue" GUI there is a lot of information about how to add a custom field but not on any other GUI. Can you please help me?

There is only one "GUI", and fields belong to issues that all use that GUI to interact with the users, so I'm not sure what you're actually asking here.  Epic, story and others are all types of issue - could that be what you've missed?

Add custom fields to the system, tell JIRA which issue types and projects they belong to, add them to the screens you want them to appear on, and they will be offered to the users as defined.
