How can I change default custom field value?

Hi,

I have a number custom field A and it's value is 100.

I want to change it's default value when I transitioned an issue. I can update the field but it's default value not changed.

I don't want to use Script Runner plug-in. I have two plug-in Workflow Toolbox and Misc Workflow.

Would you help me? Thanks for now.

Hi Joe, Yes I have a new value when transitioned. But I want to use the new value for create new issue.

Case1: I mean, my main field is A and the default value is 100. Other field is B. My new field is C and C=A-B --> issue key TEST-1

When I created new issue (TEST-2), I want to show C custom field on view screen.

Case2: My main field is A and the default value is 100. Other field is B. My A field new value  A=A-B --> issue key TEST-1

When I created new issue (TEST-2), I want to show A custom field on view screen as new value A-B.

It looks like you are looking for a field that really a counter of sorts; you want to start with one value and then add to that value during a transition and them use the new value the next time the field is displayed in a new issue. Is that correct? The concept of a default value is it is the value given if not changed, usually the most common value which isn't really what you seem to be looking for.
