Cannot login with Bitbucket in SourceTree after linking with Atlassian ID/Google

Question

I am receiving the error below. I can login to Atlassian and Bitbucket online using the same login credentials. I am not loggingin in through Google or another 3rd party. I can authenticate my account in Sourcetree but cannot interact with my repos in BitBucket without getting this error:

Pushing to https://bitbucket.org/[name]/[repo].git

remote: Invalid username or password. If you log in via a third party service you must ensure you have an account password set in your account profile.

fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://bitbucket.org/[name]/[repo].git/'

I have uninstalled Sourcetree, including hte ~/Library/... Application Support/Sourcetree and the other applicaiton files. I have also confirmed I have no entres in Key Chain for bitbucket or sourcetree.

Help, please. This is driving me crazy.

I have confirmed that I can use the command line with the same username and password I have been using so far. Thank you for the help so far!

I have not tried the CLI but will. I did add my account per the instructions previously. I do not have an issue adding the account. When the account is added I am seeing my remote repo's in Sourcetree. The issue is when I go to interact with those repos. I get prompted to login again and then get the error that the username/pw is not correct.

If they are correct for adding the account, how are they different for pushing, etc.?

Hi Chris! Have you tried pushing from the command line? If you're getting the same error in the command line, that means there must be an issue with the credentials you're using

Can you also try adding your Bitbucket account to Sourcetree as explained at  Connect your Bitbucket account? After that, are you still having issues?
