Is the table built directly in a confluence page or is it from a CSV?
Are there contents in the table cell you are trying to comment on?
What version of Confluence are you using?
Are you trying to comment on the header of the table?
Adding a comment in a table cell should be no problem using the inline comment function - just highlight the cell content, click the inline comment bubble and add your comment
