Can we install it on CentOS 7 and have nfs installation directory

We have purchased a confluence lic ad we need to know

for production what is the best free db option

As the docs say

* You can install on an operating system that runs the required version of Java.  CentOS 7 is one
* PostGreSQL is the preferred database (with MySQL and Oracle behind it, and MS-SQL if you absolutely must) for a completely clean installation.  If you have DBAs who prefer one of the other three though, you should go with them - stick with what you know best
* Yes, you can run the database on the same server

You can do it, but I wouldn't recommend it - there are working directories in the installation that you don't want to be on disks slowed down by NFS.  And you definitely do not want the index or caches under <confluence home> on an NFS disk.
