Is it possible to have multiple drop down lists depending on what custom category is selected?

Hi all, 

 

I am looking for a solution to a small problem. When creating an issue, ideally I would like to have multiple dropdown menus linked to separate selections in a custom category list. 

To get a better idea, here is an example of what I would like.

Issue Type: Task

Category 1 (List):

• Selection A
• Selection B
• Selection C

Category 2 (Drop-down):

• Drop-down A
  • Selection 1
  • Selection 2
• Drop-down B
  • Selection 3
  • Selection 4
• Drop-down C
  • Selection 5
  • Selection 6

So, If the user selects Selection B in Category 1, the drop-down box Category 2 will dynamically change to the correctly assigned drop-down list, in this example, it will be Drop-down B with only selections 3 & 4 in its list.

And so on, with Selection A -> Drop-down A. Selection C -> Drop-down C.

The built-in "cascading select" field will do two layers, but for the three you describe, you either need separate fields and something like ScriptRunner's Behaviours to tie them together, or the multi-level cascading select add-on from the marketplace.
