Is it possible to block the webhook on the below mentioned conditions?

My application,

1) Consumes JIRA Rest API Services to create, update issues on JIRA.

2) Listens to the events (create, update issues) triggered by the JIRA through Webhook.

 

Problem:

When my application creates/updates an issue, I don't want  the webhook to be triggered.

When any issue is create in JIRA manually, I want the webhook to be trigerred.

This is certainly possible.

you could do something like this using the JQL in the Webhook configuration.

project = ISSUE AND reporter in membersOf("someGroup")
